Thank you for using Pocket Jesus (“the App”).
By downloading, accessing, or using Pocket Jesus, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions (“Terms”).
If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Pocket Jesus (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Purpose of the App

Pocket Jesus is a spiritual encouragement tool that uses AI to generate supportive reflections and Scripture-based content.
It is not Jesus Christ, not a divine or prophetic source, and not a replacement for Scripture, prayer, church involvement, or professional care.

The App exists solely to:

  • Provide encouragement inspired by the New Testament

  • Offer daily verses and reflections

  • Support users in emotional and spiritual growth

  • Facilitate a calm space for journaling, prayer, and reflection

2. Not a Substitute for Professional Help

Pocket Jesus does not provide:

  • medical advice

  • mental health services

  • crisis intervention

  • legal, financial, or professional counseling

If you are in emotional distress, experiencing thoughts of self-harm, or feeling unsafe, please contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.
The App may sometimes suggest reaching out for help, but it cannot diagnose, treat, or monitor your mental health.

3. Not Religious or Doctrinal Authority

Pocket Jesus:

  • does not speak for Jesus, God, or any religious institution

  • does not provide prophecy, revelation, or dogmatic instruction

  • does not claim to represent any denomination

  • may generate AI-based responses that should not be interpreted as theological fact

Users should consult Scripture, trusted church leaders, or theological resources for authoritative guidance.

4. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pocket Jesus.
If you are under 18, you should only use Pocket Jesus with permission or supervision from a parent, guardian, or another legally responsible adult.

5. User Responsibilities

By using the App, you agree to:

  • use it respectfully and lawfully

  • refrain from attempting to misuse or manipulate AI responses

  • avoid using the App to harass others or generate harmful content

  • not upload harmful code, malware, or attempt to disrupt the App’s functionality

You are solely responsible for how you interpret or apply the App’s content.

6. AI-Generated Content

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate responses.

By using the App, you acknowledge that:

  • responses may sometimes be imperfect or incomplete

  • AI output should be seen as supportive, not authoritative

  • we may update or refine AI behavior at any time

  • you should verify any important spiritual, personal, or practical information independently

We make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

7. Privacy and Data

We may collect limited information necessary to operate the App.
This may include:

  • device information

  • usage patterns

  • saved favorites

  • settings preferences

We do not sell your personal data.
We do not train AI models on your personal chat messages.

8. Intellectual Property

All design elements, graphics, branding, text, images, animations, features, and software in Pocket Jesus are the property of Pocket Jesus or its licensors.

Users may not:

  • copy

  • distribute

  • modify

  • reverse engineer

  • or create derivative works from the App

without written permission.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

  • request or promote violence, harm, or illegal acts

  • impersonate religious authorities

  • generate hateful or abusive content

  • misuse Scripture for harassment or coercion

  • attempt to bypass safeguards or manipulate AI behavior

Violation of this section may result in termination of access.

10. Updates and Changes

We may update the App or these Terms at any time.
Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

If changes are significant, we will provide reasonable notice through the App or via email (if applicable).

11. Service Availability

We strive to maintain consistent access, but we do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted service

  • error-free functionality

  • compatibility with all devices

We may modify, pause, or discontinue features at any time.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pocket Jesus is not liable for:

  • reliance on AI-generated content

  • emotional, spiritual, or psychological outcomes

  • inaccuracies in responses

  • user actions taken based on App content

  • any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Your use of the App is at your own discretion and risk.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pocket Jesus from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for:

  • violation of these Terms

  • misuse of the App

  • technical or operational reasons

  • harm or attempted harm to the App or its users

You may also delete the App at any time to end use.

15. Governing Law

Any dispute or claim related to Pocket Jesus or these Terms will be handled through binding arbitration, rather than in court, unless arbitration is not allowed by law. You and the Pocket Jesus agree to use arbitration first before pursuing any other legal action.

These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the U.S. state under which Pocket Jesus is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If a court case is required because arbitration cannot apply, it must be brought in the state or federal courts located in that U.S. state, and you agree to this location and jurisdiction.
